The ongoing US-China trade war is on the news almost every day. The stakes have dramatically increased during the last few months. Obviously, even before President Trump started his trade battle with China last year, many western companies operating in China were already struggling and facing difficulties when navigating the various hurdles and barriers in place. Regulatory barriers immediately come to mind, but the various cultural and commercial challenges shouldn't be underestimated either.During this dinner seminar, we aim to give the audience some better insights and updates into the reality of doing business in today's China, as well as some meaningful examples from various companies that have succeeded in identifying the risks/opportunities and tailoring their businesses accordingly when entering/growing in China. The panel discussion will not only focus on the above topics but also cover other questions during the evening. Such as: How do you expect the Trade War to impact your company? How do you see Hong Kong's role, with its recent eye-catching protest events, evolve and influence your business? What is your outlook for China for 2020 and beyond? At the end of the evening, you should have fully updated and latest views on China and how to best operate there.
