Every year since 1953 the Italian Academy of Cuisine gathers its delegations around a theme and celebrates it worldwide on the same day through specifically conceived dinner. This year’s theme is a tribute to one of Italy’s great food stories: “Cheese in the cuisine of regional tradition”.

The Hong Kong delegation of the Academy gladly invites Italian and non Italian food lovers to join the event, which will take place in one of the strongholds of the Italian cuisine in Hong Kong, Nicholini’s at Conrad Hotel, now guided by the generous hand of Chef Riccardo Catarsi.

The over five hundred varieties generated by Italian dairy art – and we truly can call it an Art - are the children on microclimates, cultures and traditions that strongly identify with the places they are generated from. During the dinner we will have the opportunity to taste and get to know some of these cheeses, some of which are stored in the precious Cheese Room of Nicholini’s, a unique treasure chest among Hong Kong restaurants.
