Media are among the most powerful influences that shape our daily lives. With the internet boom in recent decades, media have transcended national boundaries, infused our social consciousness and exerted influential impacts on our values and subsequent behaviors.

The potential for women to advance in media business has increased substantially in last twenty years. In APAC region, there is a steady increase of women in newsrooms as anchors, writers and bloggers. Today we have the honor to present Ms. Vivienne Chow, an award-winning journalist and critic specialising in arts, culture and cultural politics, to our first Women in Media event to discuss her experience and the changes she personally witnessed last decade and half.
