After graduating at University of Trieste in Italy, he studied in both London (University of London) and Amsterdam (IBFD) where he has built is competence in international taxation. Filippo is bilingual in Italian and English.

    Stephen joined Up Blockchain in late 2018 as COO. He came from Deep Water Management, which he founded in 2016 to support Hong Kong-based startups, often as an interim member of the top management team. In the first half of 2018, Steve served as CEO of Lecker Labs where he won top prizes Startup Launchpad and Startup Express pitch competitions as well as admission to incubation programs in Cyberport and Milan, Italy. His managed client teams spanning New York, London, California, Canada, Malaysia, and of course several places in China.

    Stephen began his time in Hong Kong with Morgan Stanley in 2010 as Risk Officer & Chief Admin Officer of the Asia Pacific Finance Division. He was previously in Dubai, where he co-founded Montgomery Woodrow, a consultancy outsourcing credit and financial control functions for lenders and investment banks across UAE. Stephen previously headed Operations and PMO for SHUAA Capital. Prior to that Stephen was based in New York City as the Finance and Operations Director for Glitnir’s North American offices in USA and Canada from their launch until the 2008 financial crisis. He graduated with an accounting bachelors degree and passed the CPA exam in 1998. He earned his MBA in 2002 from NYU Stern.
