Bite & Fly is a social media contest that will be taking place during the 'Week of Italian Cuisine in the World' in the whole month of November, which aims to promote restaurants and regional Italian cooking in Hong Kong and Macau.
The restaurants that are participating in this contest will each represent an Italian region, based on which they will design a menu of at least three dishes which will have to include at least 2 DOP/IGP/DOC/DOCG products from the selected region.
This means that these wonderful dishes that celebrate regional cuisine will be as authentic as possible.
On your first visit to one of the participating restaurants you will be given a 'mock passport' when you try the specially designed regional menu. These passports have maps of Italy, divided by region, inside.
Once you have eaten, the restaurant will stamp your 'mock passport' on the region whose typical food you have sampled.
With that, you will be able to visit as many of the participating restaurants as you'd like – and make sure you get your passport stamped at each one – because anyone who has at least 3 stamps will be able to join the social media contest and have the chance to win a trip to Italy!
