Italian Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong & Macao

The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong & Macao is a non-profit organization incorporated in March of 1997. Its roots are in the Italian Business Association, established in 1993 with the aim of promoting business exchanges between Hong Kong, Macao and Italy and at the same time establishing a common platform for the Italian business community based in Hong Kong and its local members.

In March of 1999 the Italian Chamber of Commerce received official recognition from the Italian Government. Since then, the ICC has grown into a substantial organization which, in partnership with the Italian Consulate General and the Italian Trade Commission, provides support to its Members, both Italian and local.

One of the Chamber’s policies is to continuously add value to our Members. We are constantly seeking new members and business contacts who are interested in developing commercial relations with Italy, Hong Kong and Macao. Our member companies will be able to benefit from the opportunities and services offered by the Chamber while at the same time they can enrich the Chamber with their expertise and business possibilities.

Join us for an exciting Fashion Design Webinar, organised in collaboration with POLI.design, on June 27th at 6:00 pm. Discover two Specializing Master programs designed to elevate your career in fashion: Fashion Tech and Design for Fashion Retail.

Master Details:

The Specializing Master in Fashion Tech, integrates fashion design with technology, emphasising sustainability, AI and blockchain. The program includes theoretical lectures, design tools, workshops, and a 425-hour internship. Graduates receive a first-level Specializing Master diploma issued by Politecnico di Milano, and are prepared for roles in research, development, and style offices in the fashion industry, with a strong emphasis on circular economy and innovative materials.
The Specializing Master in Design for Fashion Retail is a comprehensive program focused on digital and sustainable retail. It offers theoretical lessons, seminars, and projects, and includes a professional internship. Graduates are awarded with a first-level Master's degree and 60 ECTS credits from Politecnico di Milano, preparing them for roles such as Visual Merchandiser, Phygital Retail Designer, and Omnichannel Strategist.

During the webinar, exceptional speakers will share practical insights and real-world examples from the fashion industry.

For the Specializing Master in Fashion Tech, Susanna Testa, Didactic coordinator of the Master in Fashion Tech, along with students Anita Bertini and Ya-Sheng Yu, will discuss their project collaboration with Radici Group. Whereas, for the Specializing Master in Design for Fashion Retail, Valeria Iannilli, Coordinator of the Fashion Design Programs, and Alessandra Spagnoli, Secretary of the Fashion Design Programs, will provide in-depth insights into Fashion Retail.

Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Milano

Architect and Full Professor at Politecnico di Milano, Design Department. She is co-founder of the Fip – Fashion in Process Research Lab. She is a Faculty Member of the School of Design, where she is Coordinator of the Fashion Design Programs (Bachelor and MSc). She is expert of management of narrative processes as place of cultural exchange in “culture intensive” industries.

Her research interests concern retail design processes as the expression of the identity of a company to promote the construction of an active dialogue with users’ communities. Her current research investigates the impact of digital transformation on the retailing experience by focusing her attention on omnichannel customer experience and the new Phygital concept and format.

PhD in Design and Technologies for the Enhancement of Cultural Heritage, Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Milano, Design Department. She is member of the Fip – Fashion in Process Research Lab. She is Faculty Member of the School of Design, Politecnico di Milano, where she is Secretary of the Fashion Design Programs (BA and MSc). She is member of the PhD Faculty of the PhD Design School at Politecnico di Milano.

Her research interests concern managing design-driven processes for developing and enhancing Cultural Heritage and CCIs, exploring new paradigms and narrative structures in retail design, studying technological impact on retail omnichannel customer experience, and developing servitisation processes in fashion retail.

Susanna Testa, PhD in Design, is Assistant Professor at the Design Department of Politecnico di Milano. Her research focuses on interaction and technological innovation within the field of fashion, as well as bench-marking state-of-the-art initiatives, technologies, and products related to the fashion ecosystem.

Among academic activities, Susanna lectures at the School of Design of the Politecnico di Milano at the Bachelors level courses in: Jewellery and Accessory Design, working primarily with emerging manufacturing technologies; Fashion Drawing; Portfolio & Digital Branding. She is also didactic coordinator of the Master in Fashion Tech held by POLI.design. Along with academic activities, she is active as illustrator and designer with a focus on fashion accessories and jewellery.
