We are delighted to invite you to an insightful event titled "The Future of Consumers: Impact of People, Technology, and Sustainibility", hosted on Friday, 17 May 2024, in collaboration with KPMG, the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, and GS1 Hong Kong. The event will discuss the release of the latest KPMG consumer and retail report: "The Future of Consumers: Impact of People, Technology and Sustainability". It will unveil key research findings and trends within the retail sector across 14 diverse geographies and markets in the Asia Pacific region.

Involving over 7,000 consumers, our research reveals a variety of trends and expectations, yet one overarching message stands out: We have entered the age of seamless commerce.

Key discussion points will include:

  • The complex interplay between people and technology in the post-pandemic Asia Pacific retail landscape.
  • The pressing need for retailers to evolve with the digital, generational, and social shifts that are transforming consumer preferences in online and offline shopping, social commerce, and sustainability.
  • Insights on why traditional retail business models must undergo transformation to meet the changing demands of contemporary consumers, and why retailers and brands will have to adapt or face the consequence of not moving with the market.
  • We are going to hear about the latest consumer trends covering the tech-media savvy next generation (Gen Z) and their use of new technologies including GenAI.
