In recent weeks the COVID-19 pandemic and its local resurgence have caused major disruptions for retailers, causing many to rethink their operating strategies. Retailers that rely on customer footfall, like traditional shopping malls and department stores, have taken a considerable hit. Conversely, the pandemic may introduce new opportunities.

Online retailers are increasing trading volumes and attracting new customers. However, these businesses also face supply-chain challenges due to traffic controls, limitations on cross-provincial procurements and a lack of delivery capacity.

At the webinar, KPMG subject-matter experts will offer insights on both managing talent risk and how businesses can demystify cash management by taking steps to gain control across operations and the supply chain. A panel of industry insiders will also discuss changes in consumer behaviour and the industry landscape in light of COVID-19.
