In the third episode of the series dedicated to Sustainability, the Italian Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the topic of bio-architecture in retail design and construction. The measures implemented in the retail shops due to the pandemic affected the air quality in the stores.
What can the brand do to improve that?
Bio-architecture is the future of construction, and it is becoming more and more popular on an international scale. It takes into account sustainability and attention towards the environment.
Green buildings are characterised by a combination of features that revolve around the reduction of ecological impact: minimisation of energy usage, use of recyclable and durable materials, incorporation of natural lights and advanced ventilation systems.
Guided by our guests, participants will learn all about the new attention to sustainability in construction and how this phenomenon is going to change the rules for all parts involved: architects, but also clients and landlords. They will discover how sustainability is going to be a game-changer in retail design and rental.

With over 12 years of experience in the sustainability, technology, and education sectors, her expertise lies in stakeholder engagement, business operations and strategy, and risk mitigation covering markets in Canada, US, Singapore and Hong Kong, China.
Venisa holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Stefano is an Italian architect with over 15 years of professional experience in mixed-use,
master planning, civic architecture, urban design and interior design. A graduate from the
University of Florence, he has built his career working across China including Beijing and
Hong Kong, where he currently leads the studio’s sustainability and wellness initiatives.
His professional experience has enabled him to build a deep understanding of the China
and Asia markets, the challenges faced by cities developing in this region, and the
expectations of an ever changing population of future users. His design approach begins
with analysis, to build an interaction of user behaviours and perspective. By grasping the
point of view of future visitors or residents of a space or building, the design can then take
shape.
